Silver Spoon By Jay McFadden Parody of Silver Moon

(Parody #44)

See the midnight watch guard now adjourning - ah.
Trapped inside an iron pen that stands so high.
Gleefully I entertain a yearning - ah.
Hoping to begin a new life made with one dive.

Wishing for the soul delight of a silver spoon.
Digging out of penitentiaries is my goal.
Wishing for the soul delight of a silver spoon.
If I only had an explanation of one's hold.

At the park my breathing begets sighs.
As a wave that claims my nose makes my eyes turn.
And I can see stew, taters and warm pies.
Lacking only one thing of concern.

Wishing for the soul delight of a silver spoon.
Drooling over snacks and pastries while I roam.
Wishing for the soul delight of a silver spoon.
For the unbegotten ingestation that I'd drone.

Now I've a cold.
So as I've told.

Wishing for the soul delight of a silver spoon.
Or some pills to bid this throat disease adios.
Wishing for the soul delight of a silver spoon.
Having only liquid medication for my dose.

(Note: This was a lot harder to do than I thought it would be, especially the last few differing lines.)
