The Sharing Cirlce
It's like water and lava
And other things we can't possibly control
Spinning (it's fast) in circles too quick to grasp, and we bring about
New found pain and hate and complete, unimaginable anger
Like choking kittens or shooting puppies,
Drowning infants and suffocating children
Secrets told and lies kept empty,
And now I barely recognize the sound of my own voice,
Screaming for help, or love, or not to be lonely anymore
Dying for another hit—just one more icy cut—
Or his smile, white and burning hot like the stars,
With eyes as deep as chocolate and vast as the ocean
Hands of an artist and the voice of angel that taught me to
Quiver, shake, and then break
Free of their laughs and insults and divide the line
Of what's reality and what's fiction,
So I keep sitting in the dark, screaming
But trust me.
They won't come for us.
