Memories reversed to that moment on
that depress-coated summer night
where you left a fool standing there
with the cold whistling breeze blowing into her.
It shivered inside and left her wet legs
faltering and yet her eyes never stopped waiting.
Left a roughly-folded letter on her desk-
You wrote that you would be there but
what came was only the lonely silence
which never left the atmosphere as she
refused to return in hopes of your arrival
but you never came after all.
