THE MISTRESS

Your secret's out, my darling,
The truth is plain to see -
You have another lover,
And you love her more than me.

I've seen the way you look at her,
The lust you cannot hide,
Your passion – inadvisable -
She'll take you for a ride.

I saw you once, caressing her,
Her body lithe and lean -
I found your credit card receipts -
I know where you have been

She fills your heart, your thoughts, your dreams,
She fills my mind with rage.
This Jezebel is clad in red -
And only half your age.

But I've a secret too, my love,
There's something you should know -
I've advertised in Classified -
That car has got to go!
