Flower seeds strewn on the forest floor,
soon I shall live again.
Sunlight creeps through over grown leaves,
soon I shall smile again.
Water rushes over stones in the creek,
soon I shall run again.
Dandelions float on the summer wind,
soon I shall dance again.

One more month to live again,
one more month to smile.
Let the countdown begin-
Can time pass faster?
One more week to run again,
one more week to dance.
My toes tingle in my shoes.

But why the wait?
Can't I start tomorrow?
Everything apparently has its time,
and mine hasn't come yet.

I'll have to wait,

for my heart to blossom once more;
for the sun to brighten my face;
for the water to drift over my toes;
to feel the wind in my hair.
