Chapter 1: I thought I saw what was coming next…
I was standing in front of the door. I can't wait to open it and see what's inside. Well I already did. But anyway, I finally get to go to the special school. I knocked on the door. A petite girl opened it. She had black hair, and green eyes. She smiled. I held out my hand.
"I'm Luca, you probably knew that though." I said. She shook my hand and giggled.
"Yes I did. I'm Citrine. Wow, your aura is all over the place." She said. I smiled. Yep, this is a psychic school. She gestured me inside. I walked in. Wow, this place rocks. There were all sorts of paranormal detectors and brain wave readers. Then a girl and a boy walked up. The girl smiled, the boy stared. Oh my god, this guy is gorgeous! He had dirty blond hair, blue eyes and pale skin. He continued to stare at me, then I had a vision.
"Luca!" he called my name. I turned, and there he was. Finally. I thought. "Luca, no!" I was confused now. I turned around. There was a man behind me. "Ah, I finally found you Lucia. Now I can get rid of you, you're nothing but psychic scum." He said harshly. I looked back to Tray. His eyes looked pained. He did this, he told the man.
I was standing back in the room. Everyone was staring at me. "I guess we know what your power is, now." Citrine said. The other girl had blond hair with a pink streak and hazel eyes.
"Dude that was some pretty freaky stuff." She said. "What?" I asked. "I read minds." She said. I felt my face flush red. I didn't want her to hear what I thought about Tray! I held out my hand. "I'm Luca." I said. She shook it. "Dacia." She said. I turned to Tray and held my hand out. "You must be Tray." I said. He nodded, but didn't shake my hand. Then I got another vision. Wow, I normally don't get two in one day.
"I can't." he said. I lifted my eyebrow. "Why, I thought you wanted too." I said; a little hurt. "I do, but I don't know what you'll see." He said. I walked toward him and held out my hand. He slowly took it. Then I saw things I never thought I would.
I was back. Everyone was staring again. My hand was still out and I put it down. "Sorry." I said. Then another guy walked in. "Ah, your Luca." He said and shook my hand. I got a quick image. Me and him were standing outside talking. Then it was gone. "Yes." I said. This boy had brown hair and green eyes. "I'm Josh." He said. I nodded. "So, Luca, what do you do?" he asked. "I, uh, see the future." I said nervously. Why am I scared to be judged by a group of psychics? Dacia stepped up. "Dude, you don't need to be scared. We won't judge you." She said. I nodded. Dang. She really can read minds. That going to be a downer when I lie. Not that I do it all the time, just when I want too. I looked back at Tray. Were my visions real? Is he really going to be my boyfriend? I hope. "Ewww! How can you even think that? That is sick man." Dacia said. Shut-up, it's my mind. If you don't like what you hear, then don't listen. I thought. She just laughed. Citrine walked up. "I'll show you around." She said. She walked out a door and I followed. We walked down the hall. She stopped at a door. "This is your room." She looked around and then motioned me inside. "This is my room too. We're roomies. So what were your visions about?" she asked excitedly. "Uh, they were, about, um, Tray." I said. "Is that why Dacia said 'Ewww!'?" she asked. I nodded. "No wonder, when you looked at him your aura was pink!" she said. "Well, anyway, your bags are over there." She pointed to them. "Can you do anything else?" she asked. I nodded. "I can pick up things, and bend things." I said. She nodded. "Cool." She said. Then she skipped away. So I started unpacking my things.
I finished unpacking and started looking in my photo album. Did I mention I'm an orphan? There were pictures of my parents in here. I saw a picture of me when I was three. I was dancing, my red hair flying around me. My silver eyes shining. I was so happy, things were so simple. I turned the page and saw a picture I never had before. It was of me, I was in the hall with Citrine. I flipped it over. It had writing on the back. I'm watching you. Oh my god, maybe it's that man. Just then I heard a knock at my door. "Come in." I said. Then Tray walked in. I looked at him surprised. "I'm sorry, do you want me to leave?" he asked, his voice had a slightly British accent, and he talked slow and cautiously. I shook my head. He nodded lightly. "If you don't mind me asking, what was your vision about?" he asked. I didn't answer. "Why are you so upset? Did I say something?" he asked. I shook my head. "I'm sorry I made you feel so uncomfortable." He said. "What do you do?" I asked. He looked a little surprised. "Um, I'm kind of special. It's hard to explain." He said. "Well, I have plenty of time." I said. He laughed a bit. "Well, I feel your emotions, and when I touch someone, then I can see what their thinking, what they thought, what they're going to think. What they saw, what they see, what they will see. And they see the same about me." He said. Oh crap. He knows how I feel. "Sorry if I scared you." He said. I looked at him. "You didn't scare me." He was smiling apologetically. "Oh, and Dacia told me about the, uh, visions." He said. Oh no! I am going to kill her. He chuckled softly. "It's ok, but tell me one thing, do you really think my eyes are sparkly?" I laughed at him. "Maybe." I said. He chuckled again. "I think yours are." He said softly. "Really?" I asked. He nodded. "We should probably go, we're having dinner will be soon." He said. I nodded. "Sure, just let me put my jacket on." I said, just then it flew from the closet to me. He looked shocked. "You did that?" he asked. I nodded. "Wow, but, uh, it's not cold." He said. I shook my head as I zipped my jacket up. "I'm always cold." I said. He nodded and opened the door. He held it open for me to walk through. "Ladies first." He said. "Thanks." I said and walked through. He closed the door. "Luca? Can I ask you something?" he asked. I nodded. He could ask me anything. "Do you really like me?" he asked. Ok, he could ask me everything but that. "I'm sorry, but it's just that when I talk to you, you feel warm. Happy almost." He said. I blushed a deep scarlet. "Please, I'm just happy to be here." I said. Gosh Luca! Could you have said anything worse than that? "I'm sorry for asking." He said, starting to walk away. "No. I didn't mean it that way, I mean, gosh I don't even know what I mean." I said. He walked back towards me. He took off his glove and lifted his finger and brushed my arm. I got a jumble of images, of sights, smells, scenes, everything. "I know what you mean." He said softly. He does. "I guess we should go now." I said. He smiled and nodded. He started walking away, I stayed. He turned around. "Aren't you coming?" he asked. "I don't know where to go. Citrine never finished the tour. I don't even know where the bathroom is." I said. He laughed. "Follow me. I'll finish your tour after diner. Oh yeah, and you'll meet some of the other students." I nodded. "Thanks." I said. "No problem." He replied. Then he led me to the dining room. Maybe this will work out.
