A+ A- |
paper hearts with boys' names
written on them in glittery gel pens and
with little shapes dotting every i or j or
apostrophe.
i wish we were still children,
taping lollipops to valentines and
getting married every other day and
giving kisses like they mean something
real.
but now it's all just broken bottles and
withered yellow roses and
unwrapped but never used condoms because
we don't care anymore
we just don't.
even if we want to.
