Dear diary,
So mom gave me you for my birthday…I really don't know what to write, though. Mom's probably going to end up trying to read you so I got a different lock (one that you actually need a key to open, not anything that can flip the little switch in the lock) so I can actually put anything that might happen in you. There's really nothing interesting going on in my life right now so I'll just tell you a little bit about me, okay?
My name is Victoire Ann Blanc. My parents are both from France so I speak both French and English fluently. I have green eyes and light brown hair. I'm average height and average just about everything else. My birthday was yesterday and I just turned eighteen. It's still the week so I'm not going to have my party until tomorrow (Saturday). My parents are going out of town and are actually letting me have a party instead of me having to sneak one without them finding out. It's really kind of strange.
My life has always been kind of normal. I live with my parents and my younger brother (He's thirteen and a major twerp. His name is Jean Paul but all of his classmates just call him Paul.) in beautiful (and boring) Bridgewater. I moved here when I was in first grade from New York City because my parents didn't like the whole raising kids in the city-thing. I have the average best friends (the best I could ask for, actually) and I'm smart in the whole average smart person way…I think I'm starting to over-use the word 'average'. I don't think that's too good…
Well, it's kind of starting to get late and I have school again tomorrow so I'll write in you tomorrow if anything interesting happens…I doubt it will.
Love,
Victoire
