It was a fine lovely day. The sun was out. Everyone in the neighborhood was busy. There were those busy gathering food, others were gathering woods, and some women were hanging clothes to sun dry. The smell of someone baking was in the air.
Talloo with a long face, and his lower lip protruded, and his face held by his hands, and his elbows was by the window, watched everything that was happening around the neighborhood.
"aaaahhh I am so bored!" Talloo whispered. Looked left and then right, found nothing to catch his attention.
"aaaaahhhh I am so bored!" Talloo whispered again.
"Even Amma and Appa are busy, aaaaahhhhhooooo," took one slow deep breath through his nose, and blew it out through his mouth in one swift blow, "even my Big Brothers are busy," pouted more, "Nobody wants to be with me, nobody wants to play," he kept pouting, "They don't want me to help them, and I am here all alone." Now, he's biting half of his lower lips.
Talloo was thinking of something to do. And, he could not think of one thing. He scratched his head; then he started playing with his chin, thinking; then all of a sudden, he smiled. An idea came to him. "hahahahahaha Nobody will notice I am gone, if, I go right now! hahahahahaha Why did I not think of it, right away! hahaahahahaa" He swiftly moved from the window and went to the door, first he peeked by the door, if his Amma was there, and found that she was not there, and nobody was around. He had a big grin on his face. He took a container and filled it with water, and placed it in his bag around his waist.
He went to the backyard, and nobody was there either, but, he saw a few of their neighbors, he quietly, but swiftly moved, tried not to catch anybodies attention, everybody was busy, and did not pay him any attention. So, he just continued to walk towards the trees, and hid behind one tree. Took a peek, if anyone saw him. He grinned when nobody saw him. "hihihihihi This is so easy!" He continued to walk through the woods, as quietly and as swiftly as he can. His eyes was wandering around as he moved, looked around, tried to catch anything or anyone that could catch him go through the woods.
Birds were chirping and flying above him. There was a flying squirrel on a tree that jumped to another tree, Talloo looked, "Hello! Mr. Squirrel! Good day to you!" Talloo smiled and greeted.
There were bushes and flowers around him, he could smell their fragrance as he passed along.
His heart was beating fast, he was nervous but excited, to go for an adventure.
"Now, where am I going? hahaahaahahaha I don't even know where I am going! hahahahahahaa" grinned widely, continued to swiftly walk, passed trees and bushes. He did not feel tired at all and was smiling all that time.
"Sorry, Amma, Appa and Big Brothers, hahahahhahahaha, but I'll be back soon," smiled, he said at loud. He was not thinking, of what will happen to him later, or if he was found out. He could only anticipate what was ahead, what he can find through the woods, and maybe beyond the woods. This was his first time to venture out alone, and it will be the first time he will get through the woods, if ever he did. But, he was more excited, than afraid.
He saw a clearing, and ran swifter, his eyes gone wider, and could not wait to see what was beyond the clearing. He was breathing hard now, but he was very excited. Talloo stopped at the clearing, and just stood there.
"Oh!" His jaw dropped, amazement on his face. "Oh!"
He was on top of a cliff, and there were mountains in front of him with a clear view of the sky, a valley down below, a river, and also he saw some houses below. Grinned, he sat down, and looked at the view in front of him. He took out the container of water from his bag, opened it and drank some water, after he had his fill, he closed it and returned it back in his bag. He sat there and continued to look at the view. Smiled to himself.
"hhhhmmmm This is nice!' Talloo whispered. He enjoyed the view, and studied the houses down below, and thought of the sameness and differences between those houses and the houses in the village.
Since, this was the first time he traveled a long distance, Talloo felt sleepy, he laid down and closed his eyes and planned to take only a nap. He had to go back soon to the village.
When Talloo woke-up, he slowly opened his eyes to a sunset. It was getting dark.
"Oh! No! It's getting dark!" he started to get afraid. He swiftly sat up, his heart was beating fast. He did not plan to sleep for too long.
"So! You're awake!" A voice in his right spoke. Talloo looked to where the voice came from. And found a familiar face.
"Big brother!" Talloo whispered.
"Prince Talloo!" He answered back at him, and looked at him with a serious face.
"Ahhhh Big brother . . I . . I . . " Talloo stammered.
"Everyone was worried, we did not know where you were," he said in a serious voice, "What got into you?" he asked.
"I . . I . . " Tallo could not say anything.
And with a smile and in a softer voice he spoke, "I am glad I found you. And nothing happened to you." He gave him a hug and a pat on the back.
Talloo started crying, "I. .I . .I am sorry, Big Brother."
He pushed Talloo away, and held him by his arms, and spoke in a serious voice again, "I already sent someone to go back home, and gave the message that we found you. But, you got some explaining to do, when we get home, Prince Talloo. Especially the Queen, our mother was upset, even the King, the whole village was up in about looking for you."
"I'm sorry," Talloo could only whisper.
"Hey, Come on, let's go home," he said in a softer voice.
"Are we alone, big brother?" Tallo asked.
"No, two of your brothers are with me and a few of the villagers," he answered.
"Oh!"
"We will be faster, if you ride on my back. Come on, get up now," he said.
"Oh, okay." They stood up, and Talloo's brother kneeled down, and Talloo got on his back. Then the older brother got up.
"Are you ready, my little prince?"
"Yeah, I am ready, my big prince."
"Everybody, come! Let us all go back home," he spoke with authority, only then, Talloo noticed everyone with them.
His brothers came close, and patted Talloo on the back. One spoke, "I'm glad you are well, my little prince."
"I am sorry, big brother."
"Come." The eldest spoke. And, everyone swiftly moved, passed through the trees and bushes.
The little fairy Prince Talloo had his small adventure.
