I'm not a damsel in distress,
I'm just a commoner,
Waiting for my knight.

Facing the dragons by myself,
I have no armour,
I have no sword,
My faith is becoming thin,
I can't trust anyone anymore.

I have fought their battles,
And kept them strong.
Now I'm calling them,
And they can't hear me anymore.

I'm all alone here,
Waiting for my knight,
Hoping that he'll come and save me,
Even though I'm not a what he hopes I am.

I'm still waiting,
Who am I kidding?
Even I know that he won't come.
Eventually, all you'll see is what I have here,
