Back with chapter four the final one, I know it was sorta short oh well.

~Chapter 4- Into the Palace~

Zemendar gathered the notes and put them away except for three of them.
"So, what are we going to have to do?" finally Nick spoke up.
"We, tomorrow night, will go to the palace. Laurie and Maria will lead the way. You will keep an eye out for any guards. I'll also keep an eye out, if I must I'll cast spells of shield, silence, and invincibility. Nick, use your guarding skills to protect against other guards. See, I shouldn't use too much magic, it will be noticed quickly, plus, it's not too healthy for a wizard to cast too many spells; gets a wizard weak. I still need to know more about you both, before I have a full plan," reported Zemendar.
"What information do you need?" asked Laurie.
"What are you good at? And I need to know more about Maria, how did you meet Laurie?" replied Zemendar.
Maria's eyes drifted to Laurie who nodded at her and Maria looked at Zemendar again. "It's a little personal. After all, nobody knows about us being friends other than you, Nick, and mother. But I'll tell you..." And with that, Maria told them of the time when they met.
"Interesting story. Well, from what you tell me, outrunning guards is very fast. So your a sneaky, fast person," commented Zemendar after Maria was done.
"No doubt, guards have to train and run everyday," said Nick almost in awe.
"Laurie, can you give me some information about you? One good thing is that you can the guards, but you might need a little more," stated Zemendar.
"Don't worry, I can persuade my parents to change their mind. But sometimes my sisters can too. I have a knack for conversational tricks," replied Laurie.
"Okay, this is great, we have all skills in different areas. Go home, it's late, meet here tomorrow at ten thirty," the wizard commented.

The next day went fast and when it came to ten thirty, Laurie, Maria, and Nick met Zemendar back at his house again.
"Let's go, shall we?" Zemendar said after he was ready. Several nods came and they headed off.
"This way, there's usually less guards around," whispered Maria to the rest of the group.
"Zemendar, why are we going to the palace anyway? Couldn't you cast spell that travels to Laurie's parents?" Nick asked.
"No, that would be too long of a distance. We'll have to go in and tell the king and queen how Laurie finds her life and persuade them to give her some freedom," explained Zemendar.
"Hey! Intruders, stop!" a guard roared and attacked out of nowhere. Nick held him back as the rest went on and soon he caught up again.
"I took care of him," came Nick's voice. But guards kept coming and everyone fought them. Eventually, there was so many guards that Zemendar cast a shield spell and held them back for some time.
"They're going to sense my magic and more guards will be here," predicted Zemendar, and he was right.
This time Zemendar used an invisibility spell and made the four of them invisible. This helped a lot. Soon they reached inside the palace and found the queen and king. Zemendar made it so that they could be seen again and they were in front of Laurie's parents.
"Laurie, who are these people?" demanded Helena demanded.
"Mother, father, these are my friends, Maria, Nick and Zemendar," informed Laurie.
"They are not! I have never met them!" yelled Apollo.
"Well, I have and they're my friends. Maria has been my best friend for years now. And you should know your supreme guard, Nick. Then there's Zemendar, who has been taking potions up here for ill people to take. And Maria is the one taking food from the kitchens for her and her mother. So, you should know all of them," responded Laurie.
"What! Arrest them!" wailed Apollo.
"No stop! I brought them here. I have been sneaking out of the palace and I want a free life like they have. They all agree with me. My life has been controlled and planned out since I was born!" refused Laurie.
"Oh, sister, you are pathetic. You're a princess and your life isn't good enough for you," snarled Susan.
"Stay out of this Susan, and you too, Julie!" snapped Laurie.
"Silence Princess Susan and Julie," muttered Zemendar and he cast a spell to make the two be quiet.
"You know, Laurie is a great person, she just want's to make her own decisions. You can't blame her, she never even gets asked if she likes something that was done for her," exclaimed Nick.
"I think that my life's better than Laurie's and I've been through a lot; my father dyeing, my mother very ill, stealing to live, and all that and still I have a better life than Laurie, because I have freedom," announced Maria.
After several tries to persuade Helena and Apollo to let Laurie have freedom, Helena had been convinced but Apollo wasn't quite yet.
"I could put a mind spell on him," whispered Zemendar to Laurie.
"No, don't do that. I want him to see how I have my life," stated Laurie.
"Your majesty, Laurie just wants some freedom, for sixteen years she had a controlled life, never making one decision, never giving her opinion, why can't she have freedom now? Every other person, but royal people have freedom, well, even you have freedom, but Laurie doesn't and it's what she wants. She just wants to get out sometimes, make her own decisions, it's not like she'll never come back to the palace. If that's what you're afraid of, I suggest that you shouldn't be, Laurie will always come back, this is where she lives, after all," begged Zemendar.
"Father, do you really think that I wouldn't come back home? I wouldn't ever betray me family. I just would like to have freedom. Please?" insisted Laurie and finally Apollo gave in.
"I can see that you never make decisions, though I didn't know that you really hated it that much, I can give you freedom. But, something needs done first, Mr. Merril, would you please return my other daughters back to normal?" Apollo ordered.
"Oh, sorry about that, of course," laughing nervously, Zemendar made Laurie's sisters back to normal.
And from that day on, Laurie had freedom, and Maria, Nick and Zemendar were welcomed into the palace. As for Susan and Julie, well they always were extremely angry with Laurie.
