I'm sorry you're sad and scared,
And I can't help.
I'm sorry that I can't be there right now,
Because of fear and youth.
I'm sorry that I'm repeating this word,
But there's nothing in this world,
That can express what I'm feeling,
Like 'sorry'.
It's repeating,
Repeating,
Repeating,
That one little word.
But it's the only way to express
The depth of my distress.
