My heart sings to me A song of sorrow; of pain Yet I can't, no won't Feel the pain it sings.

- Written by a friend:

Itching for it Longing for the rush A way to escape For my sprit to hush

It never lasts long I am left hollow With a need for more That s a hard pill to swallow

No one can find out They don't understand If they were never there With the relief in hand

How would you feel?
If it was you If you had your cure What would you do?

- By me:

Without pain, a death comes Grief, without restraints Floods me, painfully A hurt beyond comprehension.

But I can deal with it My pain can be yours I shouldn't have to hurt alone But I choose too.

My mind shuts down My heart turns cold My people know nothing So my pain is not shared.

I don't want to hurt Yet I can't tell anyone For fear that they may Shame me for my weakness
