Reflection

There is a strange tugging in my chest

This heart is beating feebly.

I do not understand.

Such figures are useless,

Logic is powerless,

I do not understand.

I see reflection in the mirror,

It is me, but not what I see.

A child falls for me, he but a boy.

I do not understand.

Nothing in regards to feelings are felt for him.

A collection of motives that were misunderstood.

Through confusion I was told – just go with it.

You can't make sense of it.

I went with it and boy was hurt

But I care little past concern – I am just a passing fancy.

Now I do not understand,

A rejection to the boys feelings.

And this heart is labouring painfully,

Another this time older,

He I do not understand.
