To be unique, to do the best you can, to have someone who will appreciate who and what you are and to encourage you towards your goals; wouldn't that be nice for a change?

Unique
Can you please tell me that I'm unique?
That I'm smart enough to start my own boutique.
Tell me that I'm pretty,
Prettier than Betty.
I'm unique and original in my own ways.
Even if you can't see it, you can see the bays.
With the waves crashing on the shore,
Makes you want to ditch me, your ore.
Why can't you see?
That I am me.
Like God used to say, "I am who I am."
Why can't you believe in me?
Like your faith in God,
Why can't you have faith in me?
Like how you praise him,
Why can't you compliment me?
Not even once.
Towards sadness,
And loneliness.
Don't strangle me to death,
Don't choke me to death,
Left to sink towards depression,
And regression,
Because I'm already in it!
Please tell me that I am unique.
If you don't think,
Just whisper it low.
If you do then,
Shout it out for the whole world to know,
That even in a wolf's den,
They would hear,
A voice so sincere.
