I was the victim.

And the kittens are grown and still motherless,

Surrounded by cardboard

In that dark, abandoned storage room.

The band left the football team

For the parking lot, and

Underclassmen dotted the sideline.

But your aged Broadway classics

Still play in veterans' ears.
