I'd Love You

I'd meet you,
On a spring day
With a muttered greeting
And shy smile.

I'd fall for you,
On a summers day
With your infectious laughing
And naïve eyes.

I'd cry for you
On an autumn day
With a longing goodbye
And backwards glances

I'd long for you
On a winters day
With memories of soft words
And gentle caresses.

I could love you
If only you'd let me
But your eyes say it all:
You're not ready for me.
