I couldn't sleep last night

In fact I haven't been able to sleep for awhile.

I lie in bed and dream.

Moments in time float through my head

Pieces of memories replay

Each running through my mind

Reminding time and again that I was wrong.

Sleep deserts me still

As I lie and think of you.

I can't change what I did.

I can't overcome the past.

I can't fight the memories

That I will have till the last.
