Little Clara is so happy
Her smile sets the world aglow
She sails through life so blissfully
Seeming free from any woes
Little Clara is so happy
She loves all of her friends so
But soon they find better things
And better places to go
Little Clara is so happy
Her family's a wonderful bunch
Her sisters chatter and ignore her
While they have their midday munch
Little Clara is so happy
She likes a boy you know,
They once knew each other thoroughly
Now unable to say 'hello'
Little Clara is so happy
Remember those friends she had?
Well one just said hi to her
Why there's no reason to feel sad!
Little Clara is so happy
She's in the top class at school
That doesn't change the fact
She bumbles behind, a fool
Little Clara is so happy
She likes to get the mail
Effects of her parents growing debt
Slap her like a gale
Little Clara is so happy
Her dad is really sick
Is it all that smoking catching up?
Her thoughts, a painful crick
Little Clara is so happy
Her head, ready to explode
What did she exist for?
It was too much to decode
Little Clara is so happy
She dreams of running far
She can only wish as
Her problems are hers to bear
Little Clara is so happy
she likes to sit and read
nobody ever notices
her silent cries of need
Little Clara is so happy
Her world, a hazy whirl
People pass, and live their lives
She kind of wants to hurl
Little Clara is so happy
Her smiles always full of mirth
But all she really wants to do
Is disappear from this earth
