A darkened mirror,
swathed in silky gauze
it could tell me my future
but at what exorbitant cost?

All you have to do, my dear,
is look into the glass,
and the face that looks back out at you,
will tell of both future and past

Because all that you have been through
reflects on what you need and want
the years of pain will continue
until you change your vantage point

Does none of this make sense to you?
That's good, that's precisely my aim
Because no one needs to know the future
But everyone says "show me" all the same
