I am silent, not out of fear,
Not out of anger,
Merely frustration.

Solemn, though the situation does not call for it,
Silent, Solemn, and some might also add unresponsive.

Purposely so, for what purpose is there in anger, in fear,
In expression, what do we accomplish,
What do we forget.

Simulation of stimulation,
No more, no less,
Thoughtless action bound not by verbals speech,
But by judgement of the mind.

We stand, alone in silent contemplation,
Of things known only to us,
Those solemn sentinels who see what others do not.

We are faceless, to avoid reputation,
To avoid identity and association,
And yet, we are simulacrum.

We are malleable and tangible, shifting and bending with the tides,
Silent in our discontent and singular in our will,
To do nothing but stand there,
Solemn.
