Just a collection of some of my poems I really like. A mixture of serious and silly. Hope you enjoy.

Dedicated to the man who's supposed to love and support his daughter and accept for her as who she is. This is for you, Father Dearest.

Look at you standing there,
Quivering with rage over something I did.
Or was it something I said
From within my walled cage?

Should I say that I'm sorry?
Should I pretend that I care?
Should I take back the words,
Pull them out of the air?

You hate that I'm independent.
You hate that I think on my own.
You'd rather that I fit perfectly
Into the neat little tapestry you've sewn.

You don't believe in me.
I know that you've never tried.
You think that I'm useless.
Each time you've looked at me, you've sighed.

But if only you knew my secrets
If only you knew what I hide.
The powers that sit deep inside me.
Then maybe you'd show me some pride.

This one's for you, Father Dearest.
So that you may ever falter
When I finally tell you,
I'm not even your daughter.
