Glass Umbrellas

they'll always be watching from above,
while I am just here, simply finding my way through the
meadow underneath, like that carnival attraction of mirrors

i'm talking about the stars in the sky
and how I only see them through the glass
but in all honesty, i don't need this umbrella
let the meteors drench me in vanilla-tainted shards for all i care
as the candy-crystal parasol breaks down
(and i could finally breathe)

i said i didn't need that stupid, transparent glass umbrella;
the sky looks so much better without it.
