The blond hair stuck for ten years,
Straight and honeyed with a virgin brand.
I was the reincarnate of you.
But when my shoulders broadened,
And your image morphed into dark and curly.
We no longer drove down your street,
I took a detour and you grew silent.

She looks at me with regret,
And I can't give her a reason not to.
