One Led Astray By Heaven

O cursed are stars that shine by night

In spite, they bore him away from me.

A soul too pure for Earth, too bright!

In flight be they that took from he

A life so fine, a love divine.

Oh, such loss one could not foresee.

A battle I could never fight,

So gone from flesh my love doth be.

O envy of the ground have I,

That lie around my perfect love.

Whilst I am left alone and cry

Goodbye! As he ascends above

The Earth below, a lost fellow.

Soaring true as would a dove.

All gravity thou doth defy.

No man dare I be more proud of.
