I'm sorry for all the tears I have caused.
I know the pain does not peacefully leave,
And suffering is a heart being paused.
This is a woe only time can relieve.

We have shared many wondrous moments,
And these memories surface here and there,
Like a lasting disease without treatments,
That sucks the breath out of the living air.

I can feel the pain that you are living,
Only worse because it was all my fault,
I caused our hearts to be under assault.
