serenade

Green orbs dance through the trees,
a fairytale romance ignited under moonlight
swaying under the moon, dancing in silence to
an unheard melody, fingertips intertwined. She & him move
swiftly about, locking out the present, throw away the key.
Tonight embers fly through the air, a spectacle to behold,
darling, it's just you and I. Let's fly to the moon.

a/n: this poem mostly comes from the scene in the movie Peter Pan (2003) where Wendy and Peter are dancing under the moon in the forest with the faeries.
