There Is No Saving Grace
The Moon Howls At The Wolf
Four haiku's about how we have no control over what happens to us, just how we react to circumstances. The themes include "been", "time", "hunger" and "nails".
Been
No comprehension
Just empty space where she laid
And my falling tears
Time
At all intervals
We are never happy with
This man-made concept
Hunger
The cabinets lock
The fridge is chained each day
Nothing's on my plate
Nails
You nail me up here,
Leave me to asphyxiate,
And expect saving?
Author's Note: Written on September 9th 2011 at 11:00 pm. It's been a hard first week of classes, and poetry is a comfort that I find is actually a luxury I can't afford during the week. Hope you guys enjoyed the themes, and please review! Also, would you rather I write short little poems like these or full blown single stories like prior to this? Thank you!
