First Kiss

I stand with him under a gazebo garnished beautifully with lights

He being the only one in my line of sight

He offers me a velvet rose of a crimson hue

Introducing me to something totally new

I accept it gratefully and without a thought

Blushing slightly as I realised what his eyes sought

His smile widens as he takes in the appreciative look in my eyes

Unintentionally and figuratively melting my insides

His eyes sparkle with unhidden adoration and anticipation

He takes me in for an elegant dance

Not even meeting my hesitant glance

After just a moment I feel at home

His arms encircling me like a colossal dome

The dance ends, impossibly the thrill is still there

It increases as I notice his intense stare

His expression becomes mysterious but tender

It seems that tonight I'm not the only sender

Our expressions may well be the same

Although I hide mine successfully as if playing a game

He sees my hesitation and we exchange a small smile

His own detectable from a distant mile

I search his face for some kind of sign

From it I can summarise that his all mine

And I'm eternally his

All I'm waiting for is his sweet kiss

He sees my need which matches his own

And brings his lips to mine with an uncharacteristic moan

The kiss deepens my passion grows

And I silently drop my crimson velvet rose

It lays forgotten in the dust

Left behind in a moment of lust

Perhaps one day I will recollect it and reminisce

Over that brilliant and powerful first kiss

Sorry if it was crap but I'm only fourteen. If you did think it was good then please review (Please review, the last poem I wrote got no reviews)
