A/N: Just a short story I wrote when I was bored. There might be grammar mistakes, but enjoy anyway
Ashley woke up with a start. There was a loud knock on the door. She looked over at her clock. 3:42 it blinked in bright green. With a sigh, she got up and made her way downstairs. She walked into the kitchen and grabbed a frying pan, then made her way to the door.
As she looked through the peephole, she could barely make out the outline of the figure standing there; it was pitch black outside.
"W-who is it?" she asked, feeling scared.
"My car broke down a little down the block. I need to call a tow truck." the voice outside the door responded. It belonged to a female, in her 20s or 30s. Ashley slowly reached for the doorknob and unlocked it, removing the chain.
Twisting the doorknob, she braced herself, ready to use the frying pan at any given moment. The door swung open, and the woman stared at Ashley.
"My, oh my! What lovely bright blue eyes you have!" she exclaimed, smiling at the frightened teenager. Ashley grinned shyly.
"Thank you." the woman nodded. "Now deary, won't you invite me in?" Her voice sounded weird, sinister almost.
Ashley hesitated. "Uh, yes. You may come in." she said as she sidestepped away from the entrance. The woman sniffed the air as she took her first steps into the house. "Thank you, deary." she purred.
Only then did Ashley notice the sharp, white fangs sticking out of her mouth.
The only sound heard in the house was that of a frying pan hitting the floor.
