Hi Everyone. I hope that you like this poem. I wrote it at midnight during one of the school holidays and am pretty proud of it. This is one of my first fiction works to be posted on this website. I'd love some reviews and I don't care whether it's constructive criticism or just saying well done. :D No flames please.
City Night
The streets are lit by yellow lights
As cars stream past on the highway
The wonders of the night sky lost
To the bustling of the city
Slowly the big city falls asleep
As the traffic slows to a halt
And apartment lights flicker out
The wan moon slowly rising up
Stars cautiously showing themselves
As small pinpricks against the sky
The night sky an inky darkness
As the big city starts to dream
Review please?
