Hey! Below is a poem I wrote while on school camp. I hope that you enjoy it. Just for reference I named the butterfly Annabelle and stayed near me the whole time I wrote the poem. Review please?
Umbrawarra Gorge Camp
The playful stream is running by
The trees overhanging its course
Large cliffs overshadow the stream
Sunlight glancing off the surface
A black butterfly sits nearby
Overlooking the hurried ants
As they travel their busy path
Across the rocks towards the tree
Flies buzz nearby, never at rest
The silent wind shoos them away
And caresses my hot body
Before moving down the gully
The sun will set on the gully
I'll be up at the campsite
Unable to witness the sight
Where the rocks turn purple down here
