i've bitten off more than i can chew
when i should have just been biting my tongue
but i'm a minstrel of foreign creation
bragging of tales from every nation
(no one knows i've never left home.)

won't you let me sing to you?
i've got tricks up my sleeves just waiting
they'll dazzle your every fascination
all i have to do is croon a little
you can't tell me you didn't just swoon a little.
