Autumn at first was kind, After the gentle, giving summer.
At night the birch leaves barely frosted.
But burnt into such reds and yellows,
From the Indian summer sun Which seared into our eyes a beautiful memory As night quickly expanded over days,
Claiming the sky for winter.
