What a Beautiful Lie
Author:
Cherry Blossom Slushy PM
When somebody you loved lies to you, it's hard to forgive them and forget the hurt they gave you when you finally figured them out. Everybody else but you knew, and they never told you; so in a way it seems like they just as well deceived you.

It's easy to feel like nobody understands,

I thought this was more than a summer romance,

But I am caught somewhere between Heaven and Hell,

Everybody else knows the answers, yet they won't dare tell.

They tell such beautiful lies,

What beautiful lies,

Such beautiful lies,

Oh, what a beautiful lie.

It's hard to forgive when you can't forget

All those beautiful memories he took with him when he left,

Now I'm stuck in such a scary state of mind,

He told me he loved me, but that was just a beautiful lie.

What a beautiful lie,

Such beautiful lies,

What beautiful lies,

Oh, what a beautiful lie.

I'm gonna walk this road alone,

Thought I know It's a long way home

From the path of destruction,

He made me feel like I was nothing.

I've learned the hard way that no one's ever safe to trust,

I know that I loved him,

But he never cared for me the same way,

And it's going to be hard to leave him, but I must.
