Raising Smoke
Who says life's light can't dim?
There will be days where the kindled flame
Does not shine as bright
When the ashes are glowing low
For those whose light is not set ablaze,
And their hope is fading,
Their hearts are torched,
Scalded in places,
Know that no matter how lasting your flame,
Or how doused the fire,
The smoke will always rise.
