~Running With Nature~
The soft whisper of the wind,
The quiet chirping of the birds,
The leaves on the trees thinned,
The constant rippling of the stream;
I couldn't say a word.
At peace with nature, is what I desire,
Nothing; the cars or shouts of persons,
Would take away the feeling of my soul on fire,
When I escape to nature, my unsettlement never worsens.
The way the sun beats down on Earth,
The way the grass feels under my skin,
I feel like I've experience another birth,
Another birth, within.
"Run free," my heart whispers, as I sprint,
No longer caring for anything but the wind on my back,
My peacefulness shows in my eyes with a glint,
Running through the trees, until it is black.
Then I return to my favourite tree,
And think back to the time, when I wasn't so calm,
I wasn't free,
I wasn't ticking like a bomb.
History took it's course,
Nature brought me back,
My voice is now hoarse,
From the crying I would attack.
I let a single tear shed, not bothering to remove it,
I never was so exposed,
Nor would I admit,
To not always being composed.
Nature is a wonderous thing,
It can make people think,
Though the past is on a string,
Never allow it to let you sink.
And as my final tear is shed,
It's time to run once more,
I sprint far again; I fled,
Abandoning my despair that did pour.
