A/N: So I got chapter 2 edited by the awesome mizgardenia21. hopefully everything makes sense now. If you have any questions or ideas that should happened next let me know. I also like to thank dream-beautiful for the review. For some strange reason I love flashbacks. I love when I can read characters' flashbacks in books or watch them in movies. Maybe I'm just weird like that. lol. Sadly there are not flashbacks in this chapter but there are more in the future. I dont know how I get off topic I'm supposed to be thanking people and telling people to review and I'm talking about flashbacks. lol Well enjoy and please review. Knowing what people think helps me keep focus and not develop writer's block. :)

Chapter 2

Don't forget that the Devil was the most beautiful angel in heaven, so don't allow beauty to fool you – Anonymous

All throughout class Izzy kept thinking about the mysterious guy she just met. Something was off about him but she just could not figure it out. A part of her wanted to see him again, but another part of herself was telling her if she saw him she should run to the hills. She did not even notice that class was over until she saw people stand up and leave. She looked down at her notebook and saw she had not written any notes down.

After packing her things away in her dark green tote bag she left the classroom and headed to the campus café where she would be meeting Auntie. Auntie was a middle age woman who raised Izzy since she was a little girl. She took her in when her parents were killed or that's what Auntie told Izzy. No one knew Auntie's real name and when asked she would ignore that person or complete change the subject. She was only a few inches taller than Izzy and had brown hair. Her eyes were almost a dark yellow color.

"Good afternoon Izzy," said Auntie when Izzy sat down at the booth.

"Hi Auntie, how are you?" asked Izzy.

"I'm fine. Is everything fine dear?"

"I keep having that dream," said Izzy. Auntie did not say anything for a few minutes. Izzy suspected that Auntie was keeping secrets from her. "Do you think it has anything to do with my family?"

"It might. So I ordered you the pancakes with eggs is that okay?" Auntie asked as she switched the subject abruptly.

"Um, yeah that'll be alright Auntie," Izzy responded a tad bemused as she headed toward the restroom.

Auntie looked at the counter and could have sworn she saw someone sitting there with solid black eyes and chalk white skin. She hoped the vision she just saw was just a sign that she needed to get Izzy back home.

Izzy was in the women's restroom washing her hands when she heard a woman screaming for someone named Caput Mater. The screaming was so close. She looked around even calling out asking if anyone was there and needed help but no one answered her. Until she looked up in the mirror and could not believe her eyes. She could see herself. Yet everything was different even her clothes.

The stalls were gone and in their place was a large throne room. The room was larger than anything she had ever seen in her life. The walls were covered with crimson velvet and large curtains covering the windows. A huge candle lit chandelier hung from the ceiling.

Her hair was in loose curls and went down her back and on her head sat a tiara of yellow and red gems. She wore an off the shoulder white gown. Behind her stood a man with a very familiar handsome face and glowing dark red eyes. His hair was jet black, short and slight curly. He placed a finger to his mouth as if to tell her to be silent.

She quickly turned away from the mirror and saw nothing but the stalls. She turned back to face the mirror. Everything was back to normal. She threw water on her face and went back to her seat.

"Auntie are you ok?" Izzy asked her again. She looked sick almost like she had seen a ghost.

"I'm perfectly fine," Auntie told her giving her a smile before taking a sip of her coffee. "Izzy I need you to meet me later on tonight around midnight. I have something important I must tell you."

"Why can't you tell me here?"

"If you want to know about your parents you will wait until then," said Auntie before their food got there. They ate in silence. Izzy hardly touched her pancakes or eggs when she pushed her plate away. Her appetite was gone.

"I'll see you later Auntie. I have to get to class," said Izzy before leaving the diner.

Izzy's last class ended at 9pm and she got to her dorm around 10. She was about to take a nap when her cell phone started to ring.

"Hello."

"Izzy I need you to come pick me up," said Linda over the phone. Izzy could hardly hear her due to the loud music and Linda's drunken slur. Izzy wanted to tell her NO but could not. This girl needed her and if something happened to her Izzy would definitely blame herself.

"Okay but I'll be waiting outside in 10 minutes," said Izzy putting her shoes on and leaving the room. She saw the flyer for the party and ripped it off the wall.

Izzy got in her yellow Volkswagen beetle and drove to one of the frat's houses that were hosting the masquerade party. She could hear the beats of Ke$ha 'Blow' playing in the house. After parking the car she walked to the front door where she was stopped by a pale man wearing all black. He also had on a black and silver masquerade mask.

"Need a mask," said the man. His black eyes stared down at Izzy. 'He looks a little too old to be at a frat party.' Though Izzy.

"Look I'm just looking for my friend Linda. She should have been waiting out here for me already."

"Put a mask on and you can go in."

Izzy looked around the porch only to see people making out and drinking. Until a woman appeared beside her holding a mask.

"Here Milady," said a woman with pale skin handing her a white mask covered in white sparkles with a huge white gem surrounded by white feathers on the left side. Before Izzy could thank the woman she was gone.

"Happy now. Can I please go inside?"

"Yes. Have fun," said the man before moving away from the doorway to let Izzy through.

'What a weirdo,' thought Izzy as the guy continued to stare and smile at her. 'She thinks I'm human,' he thought. 'She is in for a surprise.'

After getting inside Izzy removed the mask while searching for Linda. It was packed inside so she kept bumping into random strangers until she knocked into someone causing them to drop their drink.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry," squeaked Izzy not knowing what to do.

"You know we need to stop meeting like this," Izzy looked up to see the handsome mysterious man that was on her mind almost all day. He was dressed in a pair of chocolate brown slacks with a black V-necked shirt and a dark denim jacket. Covering his face was a black mask with a red gem shaped as a tear drop located near the right corner of the eye hole.

"You must really think I'm a klutz," mumbled Izzy.

"No not really. Do you by any chance like magic?" he asked out of nowhere.

"Sure I guess."

"Good, now watch my hand," he told her holding out his right hand. He snapped his fingers and out of nowhere a rose appeared in his hand. He handed it to her causing her to blush.

"Thank you, but I really must find my friend."

"You are always worried about someone Isabelle," said the man. Izzy knew for a fact she never told this man her name and if she did she would have told him to call her Izzy.

"How do you know my name?" asked Izzy as the man got closer to her. Izzy tried to move away but bumped into a wall.

"I think I like you better this way. Not remembering anything and perfectly vulnerable," he confessed putting his arm around her back pushing her up against him.

"Hey baby girl!" yelled a drunken Linda staggered toward Izzy causing people to notice them. The man instantly let go of Izzy and she hurried to help her friend.

"Linda are you okay?" said Izzy trying to help support Linda.

"Oh I'm terrific. That guy you were talking to is hot," giggled Linda.

"Come on let's get you home," said Izzy as they walked out of the house. Izzy looked back to make sure the guy did not follow her out and he didn't. Izzy got Linda in the back seat of her car which took a few minutes. Linda might have created the illusion she was skinny but she was heavy. When Izzy finally got into the driver's seat she saw that it was 11:40pm and knew she would not have enough time to drop Linda off at home. Hopefully whatever Auntie was going to tell her will not take too long.

"Izzy," Linda slurred.

"Yeah."

"That man gave me something. He said it would take the pain away," Izzy looked at her through her rear-view mirror.

"What man?"

"The one you were talking to. His name is Darren. He told me to tell you he will always find you," she told her before passing out. Izzy almost crashed into the car in front of her.' Darren why did that name seen so familiar? And what did he mean he would always find me?' She thought.

Izzy got to Auntie's house just in time and Auntie was waiting for her outside.

"I thought you were going to be late," said Auntie when Izzy got of the car.

"I had to pick up Linda. She just told me some weird stuff."

"Like what?"

"Some guy gave her something I think and he told her to tell me I will always find you. Do you think I should take her to the hospital?"

"What was this guy name?" asked Auntie urgently opening the back door to look at Linda.

"Darren and the weird thing is it sounds so familiar to me."

Auntie opened Linda's eyes shining a little flashlight into them. Linda's eyes were changing into a solid black color.

"Izzy we're going to leave Linda in the car. I have to tell you something really important."

"Auntie are you sure…."

"Isabelle get in the house now," ordered Auntie. Izzy hurried inside as Auntie followed behind her.

"Izzy I'm sorry for yelling at you. I lied to you about your parents' death. They're not dead but they're not alive. I had to protect you from the darkness."

"Auntie I don't understand," said Izzy sitting down.

"You are a princess from a different universe. This will help you understand," said Auntie handing Izzy a wooden box. Izzy opened it and saw the necklace.

"This is from my dream. How did you get this?" questioned Izzy. She delicately glided her hand over the necklace as if she was afraid that it might disappear. It took Izzy several minutes to have the nerves to actually take the necklace out of the box. It was a silver skeleton key written on top of the skull's head was Recludo I quod non potes videre.

"Your mother gave you that key when you were five years old. When you were 12 years old terrible things started happening around the royal palace that I had to take you away." Before Auntie could say anything else a loud earsplitting noise came from outside. Izzy rushed toward the front window and saw Linda yet she was different.

The front porch lights showed Linda usual orange spray on tan wasn't there. Her skin was now a pale chalky white. Her eyes were a solid black color and she stood with her head tilted staring at Izzy.

"Oh princess please let me in," mocked Linda with an evil smile. It sent chills down Izzy's neck.

"Auntie what's wrong with her?" Auntie put her hand on Izzy's shoulder as she closed the curtain.

"She's a dark now. Prince Darren is probably nearby. It time for you to return home," said Auntie. Izzy placed the necklace over her head and could feel the cold metal against her skin.

"Princess this is all your fault. If you haven't come to this world I wouldn't be like this," yelled Linda.

"Don't listen to her Izzy. The darkness has consumed her soul. The darkness is making her talk like that," said Auntie leading her up to the guest room. The room had three doors. One was to the bathroom, another was a closet and the last one was always locked when Izzy used to try to open it in the past. The door frame had some strange written around it that read Scriptorium in Silva.

"Auntie what does this mean?" asked Izzy as Auntie grabbed clothes from the drawers throwing them into bags.

"No time," said Auntie out of breath. They heard glass breaking and Izzy knew Linda had got into the house. Auntie closed the door, locked it and said something in a different language causing the door to glow for a second before going back to normal.

"What did you just do?"

"Izzy right now I need you to hold this," Auntie gave her a bag stuffed with clothes then opening the door with the strange words on top. It was nothing but darkness inside. "Hold on to the bag."

"Wait what?" and Auntie pushed Izzy in. Izzy was falling at a high speed in the darkness until the key started glowing and somehow it seen to slow her speed down. She started to become sleepy and closed her eyes.

"Milady it seems the Princess has return. Auntie and her traveled through a portal to Silva. The portal was destroyed after they entered it," said a man in an all-black military uniform. He was talking to a blonde and black haired woman in a dark purple with her back turned from him. She was looking in the sky at two planets. One was a greenish like color that was Silva. The other was the woman's home Cailgo. It was a pale white planet that was forever covered in darkness and she missed it.

"Thank you James, but Samantha has already told me this," said the lady still watching the sky as if she was waiting for something.

"Should I send my men to search for her?"

"No Prince Darren told me he had this under control but I suspect she will come here,"

"Why do you think that milady?"

"Her whole life is here and no one else would dare tell her the truth about her birth," said the woman sarcastically smiling to herself. 'Soon I will be returning home.'
