The City it feeds- Washing the streets clean

Today the city doesn't feed. Today the streets are washed clean. The rain beats down onto the carnage left from the night before, sweeping it away. The blood still flows, the creature still lives. The subdued inhabitants go about their business but they avoid the open streets as much as possible. Meanwhile the wind and the rain continue to scrub the city clean. Today is the washing day, the city preparing to lure in more of it's prey when the rain clears once again. Tomorrow the city feeds and we will be it's prey.
