October Haunting: Part 4

Nightmare's POV

"That's Kira! That's Kira!" I called out to Lexi. "Kira!" I called out. "Kira-" I had a flashback, the book. The book was the answer-

"Nightmare!" I heard calling out. I woke up from my trance to realize I crashed into the ground. She landed next to me, "What the hell? Come on Kira is flying off! We have to-"

"The book!" I croaked, "We have to get the book!" I grabbed her bridal style and flew off the other way.

"W-What book?" She stuttered.

"A book Kira gave me! It's the answer! It's the answer!"

"A book?"

"Book!" I yelled. Call me crazy, but for once I liked that old book.

I tore toward the tree, setting Lexi down nicely. Looking in the tree cavity I tore out the book. I coughed, "Here it is!"

"..yea...a book" she said confused. Kira landed hard behind her he was breathing hard from trying to free Calamity from Satan's greedy clutches.

"Yea..you two figure out the book thing" Lexi said running back to the school. Kira turned to her, letting out a panicked roar. I guess in this form, Kira couldn't speak Engrish. "FIGURE OUT THE BOOK DAMNIT" she screamed from inside the building. Kira looked back at me and snarled as is to say, 'you heard the lady, get a move on!'

how?" I looked at the humongous Kira. He rolled his huge eyes came closer flipping the page using his breath. It stopped at a page with a picture of a sword. He pointed to the first paragraph on the page. Then held out his muzzle, like he wanted me to put my hand on him.

"Ifinmortaldanger,theprincemayappeartohelpstopbeingssuchas;Satan,orotherSatanicfollowers.Youneedanangelnearbuytohelpgethisattention." The paragraph said.

"And where do we get one of those? I'm only a Fallen Angel!" Kira let out a frustrated growl and stuck his face in mine. "What? And your a Death Angel! No one is an angel!" I shouted. Kira narrowed his eyes. He pointed me to another sentence.

"Useangel'sblood,dumb-ass." It practically said.

"WILL YOU JUST TOUCH THE DAMN DRAGON!" Lexi, limped back over bleeding from several places, "the dragon thing is trying to get you to touch it" Kira looked at her, panicked and worried. He knelt down and nuzzled her."..uhh?" Lexi said, moving away a little. Kira frowned, widening his eyes a little, making them sparkle. "move along.. cause at this rate..we'll all be dead in less then 10 minuets.. damn I'm feeling light headed from the blood loss" Kira's ears went up. He looked at her scars and let loose a big oh dragon tear. Gently Lexi rested her hand on his face feeling the tear fall on her finger. She looked at him. "Uh don't cry... Dragon thing."

"Finally... Someone for me to project my voice..." Kira said

"It talks!" Lexi screamed before sitting down "Ohh..dizzy" Kira placed his tail to help her stand.

"It's me, Kira..." He said.

"Now I've really lost to much blood.. Maybe if I sleep for a bit..." Lexi said. Kira looked back up into the tree at me and roared. "Get to it, I am bleeding a little, we need the prince!" Kira said angrily. Kira nuzzled a cut on his shoulder, a pearl of gold blood sat on his nose. He gave it to Lexi.

"Here Lexi... It will make your bleeding stop, and it will help you heal better..." He said.

"Sure.. sure.. just let me take a nap first..." she said, her eyes slowly closing, Kira stopped her.

"No, don't!" He said.

"Just a short nap...I'll wake up soon..."She said. Kira shook his head and tried to keep her awake.

"No Lexi... You can't. You're body might shut down on you and you'll die!" He said.

"Naww... Just like a two minuet nap" she said "Hey look a light"

"No Lex, come on, snap out of it!" Kira said, "Hello! Get your ass over here!" He said to me.

I approached the dragon with caution, taking the golden drop of blood from his shoulder and resting it on Lexi's wound. "Lexi." I pleadingly whispered, "Wake up my girl. We need you. I need you. We need each other."

"Sure... Just let me nap first..." She said quietly.

Kira snarled and shook his head... His ears twitched to the school. Calamity was fighting furiously.

I hugged her tightly, "Lexi please. I promise you wont regret it. There will be surprises and cake if you stay up for a bit longer."

"You promise...?" she said here ears dropped down.

"I promise my lady." I licked Kira's wound but not closing my mouth making sure not to swallow it. I pulled Lexi into a French kiss rubbing my tongue against her to get the blood over in her system faster.'

"Nice move smooth criminal..." Kira said...

Lexi's eyes slowly opened "Am I dead yet?" she asked sitting up grunting. "And why do I feel like someone just shoved their tongue down my throat..."

"Nightmare did it." Kira said.

"Well..Then.. I must be dead" She said.

"Haha, that's funny..." Kira said. He looked upset. He jumped curling his tail around us as a horrific screech erupted from the school. We all looked up to see Satanic coming out of the school, His body was all black and red tiger striped lined his body. In one large claw lined hand, he dug Calamity behind him.

"...This is never gonna end is it" Lexi said standing slowly leaning against the tree for didn't listen to what she said and with gaping jaws he roared and charged Satan.

"Nope. I still don't understand the book." I said, "What am I do hold up a drop of blood and- waiiiit." Pausing I looked at the book then at Lexi. Do we put it on the book? It is a book for the 'king' himself... "We need more blood..."

"What exactly are you trying to do? A Satanist ritual cause that's what you're border-lining" Lexi said looking at me. Kira stumbled back to us. Satan was strong, strong enough to hold back a dragon three times his size. He came right back to me and showed some more cuts. I gently rubbed the page on the cuts and pulled away, I saw the blood stain the book but however it quickly absorbed the blood quickly. It flew out of my hand landing on the ground, trembling alive making a noise of what sounded like a chorus of angels and a mix of yelling for mercy. Have I done it? Kira backed off and was staring at something behind me.

"Who called for me?..." A quiet, yet slightly irritated... And, very familiar voice said behind me.

"I did." I said firmly before turning around. I saw a young man with long blue hair. He had deep purple eyes that reflected like jewels. He wore nothing to cover his abs and had on long army boots. His arms resembled that of a tiger's, they were huge, and had hooked claws at their paw tips. his eyes narrowed and he put his hands in his pockets.

"Nightmare... I haven't seen you in a long time..." He said. "What do you want?" He said darkly. The prince was cut off by a scream. He turned, and we all saw the scene. Mikey had come out of no were and tackled Satanic.

"MIKEY!" The prince shouted, and charged the demon.

Lexi, looked over her shoulder at Satan "Um..guys...have we forgotten something..?"

"A war?" I walked over and picked up his silver bow. I loaded a few arrows on the string and shot them over at the fight, homing them at Satan. He jumped away, trying to avoided the anger stricken prince and my arrows. Mikey struggled to get away from Satan by biting into his hand. Satan shrieked angrily.

"Let Mikey! This is our fight, Satan!" The prince screamed. Mikey looked at him and struggled more. His expression changed from scared to joy.

"Shazta!" Mikey said. Shazta wrestled Satan to the ground, clawing and biting.

Lexi sat under the tree looking at her wounds. Kira went to her and sat with her, curling himself around her. "Kira? what are you doing?"

"Keeping you warm..." he said... He shuttered and groaned in pain.

"Kira, are you okay?" She asked. He nodded slowly.

"Just wounded. I'll heal fast though..." He said.

"Kira will you go check on the twins..I think they're still inside..." Kira slowly nodded and got up. He dashed past me and inside the school. I walked up to Lexi now, looking down at her.

"Today's been hectic."

"Yea, are you hurt Nightmare-kun?"

"A little. I'm scared to join in there. I'm scared of if my body will die.."

"...Yea...I don't think that'll happen though."

Kira came back with all our friends on his back, he looked exaughsted from the looks of the battle with Satan and Shazta, and we were winning.

I gave a nod at our friends, "A beautiful day is it not?"

"No not really..." Lexi said glancing at the school.

"It's going to get worse!" Cenos said, pointing to Satan. Mikey had taken on a very limp, lifeless look. Shazta had fought with more anger, the fury of a tiger.

"I say we move clear before Shazta kills Satan and us!"

"Yea" Lexi nodded in agreement.

"Lets hurry! Please, we gotta get Mikey too!" Cinos said.

"Yea but where the hell are we gonna go." Lexi asked spreading her wings.

"Away. To your house, to Mikey's house. Somewhere." I looked at Lexi, spreading my own.

"What about Mikey anyway? How do we pry those black talons open to even free him?" Kira asked. Just then, his question was answered by Shazta striking Satan down. He grabbed Mikey and ran to us. Terror stretched across his face.

"Hurry! He won't be petrified for long, we gotta split." Shazta said.

"Let's take Mikey to his house..." Lexi said flying up in the sky slightly. Kira and Shazta did the same.

"Nightmare-kun are you coming?"

I kicked off the ground flying right behind them. "Always am coming."

Later we arrived at Mikey's place, thank god his dad was there . Shazta looked very unhappy, and scared. Mikey was held close to him. His bright blue eyes were wide open, his mouth opened as if trapped in a frozen cry of pain. He almost looked dead.

"Someone should stay here with Mikey to see if he's okay... I have to go tell father what happened to the school.." Lexi said quietly. Kaz was here too and she nodded.

"I can stay here..." She said. Cenos and Cinos agreed to stay too.

"Alright then I'm headed to my house then." Lexi said walking outside and flying off in the direction of her house.

Kira's body turned back into his human form, he was tiered, but he stayed too. Everyone was a wreak- even if they didn't fight. It was horrible. I looked at Shazta.

"Thank you." I said. "Thank you so much."

"No, thank you... Nightmare... If not for showing the higher one's that I was needed here, I would have never gotten to see Mikey again... Here... You look tired..." He said, reaching out. When his paw touched me, a burst of energy shot into me. "It will keep you going while you heal up..." He said with a smile.

"T..-Thank you," I said, "So your now a prince? He smiled and nodded a little.

"I will be crowned as the king one day, but I still have a lot of training to do... But thankfully, I am allowed to stay here as my new training assignment..." He said.

"That's wonderful!" I said happily. He nodded again.

"Sh-sh... Shazta?" Mikey's dad said. He was standing, round eyed and baffled. Shazta smiled weakly. "Hi creeper..." Shazta said, jokingly. His dad laughed a little.

"I knew it was you, you've grown. A LOT." Mikey's dad said. His mom soon fallowed. She took a look at shazta and burst into tears.

"You, you stupid blue moron! You're alive?" She said. Shazta smiled and blushed. She hugged him and welcomed us in, finding a good place for Mikey on the couch and seating us in the kitchen with Mikey's dad too.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Well..." I started, "Satan went all super sayan on us and a guy name Calamity and we all went into a mad frenzy to stop him-" I sneezed. "I'm sorry. It's so cold. He must have lowered the climate because.. Well he is Satan." I said. Mikey's parents nodded. His mom got up and got a cup. She pored out some hot chocolate and handed Shazta and me a cup. "Here.." She said. Shazta brightened.

"Sweet! Thank you Nikkie." He said. I nodded a quiet thanks as well.

"Merry Halloween." I said. Nikkie chuckled and smiled. Shazta was chugging his hot chocolate like a drunk sailor. I laughed, drinking my own. It was nice to have Shazta back. It was nice the war was subsided for now. However, I bet in the future... There was more to come.
