Something tells me I'm sane,
As there is a knock at the door,
When I open it,
Nothing is there but the floor.
Something tells me I'm sane,
As someone pulls up in the driveway,
When I look out to the window,
No car is driving away.
Something tells me I'm sane,
As someone breathes behind me,
When I turn around,
No one's there, naturally.
Something tells me I'm sane,
As I open my eyes,
Look all around,
And see myself being eaten by flies.
Something tells me I'm sane,
When I pick up a knife,
And it goes to my vein.
No way to end my life.
Something tells me I'm sane,
When I really know I'm not,
Nothing can stop the pain,
That's causing me to rot.
Based upon a conversation with Karo.
