The soft touch of the graceful fingers stroking the piano,
That send a thousand chills up my spine,
And the melodic voice of a heartbroken saprano,
Make me wish the tune was mine,

Though the words themselves pass through my mind with ease,
The meanings leave a memory to last me forever,
And the voice accompanied by only black and white keys,
Make me relax as I feel my link to reality sever.

As I let my mind wander and my thoughts drift into black,
I let my body rest and my dreams steal me away, never to come back.
But I take with me on the journey, wherever I rome,
The lyrics, the tune to remind me of home.

Home, where my body lay in utter silence but my rhymic breaths,
the song falls upon my ears unhearing,
The notes fight to enter my head before they fade to their eternal death
The lonely lullaby loses its hope, notes slowing but still endearing

After the notes kiss my heart, my soul,
They fall into nothing never again to be heard,
And leave me sleeping, my spirit peaceful and whole
And erase from my mind the memories, every single word.

Tomarrow in the morning, I will rise and live another day,
To live and laugh, to learn and play.
But the words will never stir, and no one will ever sigh,
at the sound of the music, for that is the end of this lullaby.
