Time is ticking
The hands are moving
Half an hour
Will soon be over
Boredom doesn't hit me,
Unlike others, incredibly frequently
But it has now
The ticking is so loud.
Tick, tick, tick, tick
This has got to be a trick.
I've gone for hours without doing anything,
But now all I can hear is the ticking.
My feet tap without me controlling them
All according to the irritating rhythm
Even my teacher's drone,
In that dreary monotone,
Astonishingly cannot compete with that
Tick, tick, tick, tick
I'm drowning in boredom.
