Some minds cannot help but expand and wander within areas usually empty. It may be seeing to much, or it may not be seeing enough. On a side note, I've realized this is the only poemI've written that starts with an O!

An autumn leaf, falling softly to the ground
A blade of grass, reaching towards the sun
A simple glance, from and unknown passerby
A hidden note, stuffed between the pages
A single girl
Sitting amidst life
Watching the world go on around her
Reading all that she can see
This single girl
Thinks more about the seemingly simple things
Than should be
Thinks more about the complex things, then is needed
A subtle glimmer, in someone's eyes
A wave goodbye
A conversation that lingers
A greeting that only lasts a lifetime
Fleeting moments, some missed
Some happily forgotten
Why do some stay?
Why won't some stay longer?
The single girl
Sits on a park bench
And watches the world go by
Lost within the vast caverns of her mind
