Odin Meets Minerva

One day Odin, the chief god of Asgard, decided to go on a quest for wisdom. He selected his blood brother Loki and his son Thor to go with him. They traveled the world over and ended up in a mysterious forest."I have never seen such a forest, Odin," spoke Loki.

"Nor have I," thundered Thor.

As they were talking, a woman appeared to them and blocked their path.

"I forbid you to proceed any further in the Forest of Wisdom," spoke Minerva.

Loki laughed and said, "Who are you to forbid the gods from walking in the Forest of Wisdom?"

The woman raised her eyes and said, "I am wisdom herself. I sprung from my father's head fully grown."

"Your story is a lie," spoke Loki.

Odin broke into the conversation and said, "No, Loki, it is not. This is Minerva the daughter of Jupiter."

"I see that you recognize me, Odin."

"I know wisdom when I see it."

"Indeed, you do. You gave up an eye for wisdom. If you shall answer my question correctly then you shall pass."

Odin pulled his gray beard and said, "Fair enough. Ask me a question."

"Who is the most beautiful woman in the universe?" asked Minerva.

Quickly, Loki changed his shape into a woman's and said, "I am."

This caused Thor to laugh so hard the ground started shaking. In anger, Minerva turned Thor and Loki into rabbits.

"Odin, if you don't want to join them answer my question."

"The most beautiful woman in the universe is the one that a man is with at the time this question is asked."

Minerva laughed and asked, "What if there is more than one woman present when this question is asked?"

"The answer is the one who will most likely have sex with you."

"You may enter the Forest of Wisdom, Odin."

Thor used his magical hammer to restore himself and Loki to their true forms, while Odin walked asked Thor and Loki, "Would you like to enter my forest?"

"No, I have to go and kill a giant," said Thor as he looked at Loki, "Do you want to enter my forest?"

"No, I would prefer to enter you," smiled Loki.

"Well, change yourself back into that woman and it's a date."

And this is the tale of how Odin walked through the Forest of Wisdom. The wisdom he gained made life better for everyone.
