coals burn at the belly of the beast,

raging fire from his lips and into the heart of our

brave hero, dashing, daunting,

a warrior of the stars, deus ex machina,

god from machine, brought down on a rickety crane to fight this

villain, antagonist,

a massive mask hiding its face,

while we, the chorus, watch in awe

as our protagonist falls.

this play is a tragedy,

after all.
