Chapter 14

Mikey's POV

I walked around the room panicking from my confusion and fear. Darkfire wanted to help Lexi? Why? He hated everyone I was friends with, I don't understand why he would even care, but something he said helped some home. The others were helping get Lexi to the nurse while Tane, Kaz, and Alexa stayed to watch me.

"Hay, kid, are you alright?" Tane asked.

"No, no I'm not! Everything is just, crazy!" I said.

"Someone should fine Kira... He seemed angry" Alexa said eyeing Tane and scooting away towards the back of the room.

"I'll go, when Kira's as mad as he is, I'm the only one who can calm him down," Tane said. He kissed Kaz on the cheek and walked out.

"What's going on...? Everyone's losing it" Alexa said picking up the desk that got knocked over.

"It's my fault..." I said looking down. Ever since I got this stupid ankle bracelet... Everyone had started freaking out.

"Its not your fault.. Lexi's had this problem since Christmas," she said "And Nightmare disappearing can't be helping her mentally... Apparently Lexi is Schizophrenic... But that wasn't normal for that according to her brother," she added quietly.

"But things got worse when I got this tracker on," I said.

"Its not you Mikey, right Kazzy-chan?"

"Yea, Mikey, nothing happened because of you," Kaz said.

"Mikey...kun..."

"Le-Chan! You should be with the nurse" Alexa said worriedly. I looked up to see Lexi walking in.

"Tch... A knife wound wont stop me.. Mikey-kun it's not your fault this happened its mine, I couldn't fight it."

"That thing was attacking you... I didn't like it," I said.

"I let it take hold of my heart and darken it...You saved me Mikey-kun if anything I owe you for that" She said.

"Really..." I said.

"Really, thank you Mikey-kun" she walked over and whispered queitly "And thank you as well Darkfire"

I smiled. For the first time since my child hood, Darkfire was being nice, and he helped Lexi snap out of it.

"Lexi go back to the nurses" a familiar voice came, she turned around and there stood Nightmare, he looked mad when he saw the stab wound. Lexi stood there for a bit just starring at him, her eyes water and she ran.

"Nightmare-kun!" she nearly tackled him, she was hysterical but who could blame her, he patted her head before lifting her up bridal style and carrying her out of the room, most likely to the nurses office. I got up and looked outside and saw Kira standing by Tane. He looked less irritated, and more himself.

"Do you feel better Kira?" Alexa asked shakily since he was so mad before.

"I'm fine now... When Lexi stated to be come infused by the demon, I heard what it was saying and how it was forcing it's ideas on her... I knew that I was powerless to it cause it was even getting to me the first time. So I went to get Nightmare," he said.

"I'm not sure what happened Mikey said something then she bit and cut her arm, but she seems better" Alexa said picking up Lexi's purse "someone should take this to her she left it in here"

"I will, I don't have anyplace to go," Tane said. Kaz got Lexi's purse and went with him.

"Do you think it's gone now? That thing that got to her head" Alexa asked to Kira.

"I sense it somewhere in the school, but it's distanced it's self from Lexi," he said.

"Should someone go after it?"

"I don't want to risk anyone getting taken over like Lexi was. But someone would have to run it out of the school and kill it... What I'm worried about is I may need to give Lexi another Five Prong Lock to keep that thing out of here, cause it seems attracted to her," he replied. I tilted my head, a 'Five Prong Lock'? What's that? It made me wonder if Kira knew exactly what was going on but wasn't letting everything out.

"Mikey what did you do by the way, you said something and Lexi became sorta back to normal," Alexa looked at me

I twitched my ears. What did I say to her? It was all blurry and fuzzy; I didn't even remember what Darkfire made me say. "Well... To my surprise, I don't remember," I said.

"Don't remember... Oh well! You saved her and that's all that matters, we should all go visit her... I think she thinks Kira is mad since he walked out..."

"I'll go see her, I just was upset cause she started agreeing with that thing... And I guess I was just terrified she actually wanted me... To disappear..." he said looking down.

"Kira, anything it made her say was not true," I said. "Lets just go see her,"

He nodded and I walked to the door.

"I'll just stay here... Blood makes me want to faint, but you guys go" Alexa smiled at us.

"Okay. I'll let Lexi know you give hugs," I said

I walked in with Kira and saw the nurse treating Lexi's arm. Nightmare was close by, like a guard dog.

"Leave me alone, I'll heal in no time get the hell off me damn you"

"Lexi Elizabeth Anderson!" Lexi's mother was there and was livid "Shut your mouth and let the nurse do her job!"

I backed off a little, but Kira never flinched, and he went over and sat next to Nightmare. "She's just trying to encourage us that she's okay..." He said.

"I am okay! It's a fucking bite mark and a cut, whoop de do!"

Lexis mother towered over her glaring she yelled something at her in what sounded like Latin and Lexi stopped talking for a while. I stared at her mother... So that's where she gets it... Kira looked appalled at Lexi's mother.

"She's harsh on Lexi because she is her baby..." Derek sat next to his sister and held her.

"I know but, I'd never yell at my child if I ever had one..." Kira said.

"You have to, in order to get Lexi to listen, she has our father's pride and refuses to look week especially in front of friends or loved ones, so mother has to remind her that she is still a child and needs help sometimes,"

"I guess..." he replied. I looked around and got some paper and I still had my drawing stuff with me. I started drawing quickly. It wasn't long before the cute image of Spot appeared on the page. He was sitting in a puddle of water with a sunflower in his mouth and had little frogs hopping around him. Underneath the picture I wrote "Get Well Soon" in my best hand writing, and signed it.

"Here guys," I said handing it to Nightmare and Kira. "Sign, sign." I demanded. They singed it and handed it to Lexi. I knew she'd heal fast, but it felt right to make something for her.

"A get well card? You didn't need to do this," she said, she rubbed her stomach, as it growled loudly "sorry" She blushed and hid under her blanket.

"I wanted to make it for you. I make one for all my friends when they aren't well," I said

Lexi nodded and reached for her purse, she grunted seeing as Nightmare, had told her not to get up again. Kira picked it up and handed it to her. She opened it and grabbed her wallet and pulled out thirty dollars "Someone please got get me some food I'm starving her, considering I cant go"

"Mikey and Kira should head back to the detention room," Shazta said from the door, "I'll get it for you, unless Nightmare wants to,"

"Guys schools over they don't have to go back," she said she laid the money on the table next to her and laid down under the blankets.

"Alright," Shazta said putting his hand on my head and ruffling my hair.

"Hay!" I said laughing, trying to get away.

Nightmare had disappeared again but the money was gone, so I guess he went to get Lexi some food.

"She must be happy he's back again," Max said petting Lexi's ears as she slept.

"Yea. I was worried he wasn't coming back," I said. "I love having Nightmare around, he's like a big brother,"

"I'm happy he's back but mainly for Lexi's sake... She's just now getting used to the idea they're together, it would crush her if he had to leave" Max said putting the purse back. I nodded. Nightmare was kind of like her safety line. If she ever started slipping into madness, he was there to pull her out. Even better was she had Kira too, he acted like the second older brother of the family, which I found kind of funny.

"Truth be told... Freshman year when she told me she liked Nightmare... It worried me just because I knew Anna's personality... She thinks because she's abused she can step on people to make them feel better... And when her and him got together it crushed Lexi... She just wasn't herself... So I am still hesitant about Nightmare..."

I nodded. I felt sorry for Anna cause how bad her home life was, but she was such an ass hole to me all the time. I could never stand being near her. I felt even worse cause I knew the twins were the same way, but they turned out into sweet kids, I wished Anna could be just as fortunate as them.

"Lexi, wake up Nightmare brought your food" Max shook her a little.

"No..." Lexi ignored her and turned over. I chuckled.

"I guess Nightmare will have to eat it for you!" I said teasing. Derek laughed before taking a fry and holding it in front of her nose...that woke her up.

"Drop the fry and nobody gets hurt Derek" she said eating it and sitting up. I giggled.

"That got her," Kira said finally smiling a little. Nightmare handed her food and put her drink on the table.

"Bacon cheeseburger ahh!" she ate her burger happily, she reminded me of a kindergartner with animal crackers. I smiled more, just seeing her happy made me happy.

So you got rid of that thing? Darkfire's voice asked in my head. He was giving me all the credit. He knew he cared about Lexi and that he helped her.

"Aww... He bought me a strawberry milkshake... Aww!" Lexi sipped it blushing and smiling.

Kira's ears perked up, "Strawberry!" He said, uh-oh, he's one of those fruit nuts.
"Its mine, I'm the one who got screwed in the head here"

"No, strawberry! I loved you!" He said. Shazta laughed.

"Don't make eye contact, he'll give you the face," he said.

"The face doesn't work on me I invented the face"

"He perfected it," Shazta replied with a laugh and Kira's begging face.

"Tch, noob" Lexi's ears wilted, her eyes got big like a kitten, her face blushed, and she looked like she was gonna cry, she literally had tears in her eyes "I-its my strawberry milkshake" she looked like one of those girly characters from an anime that cried and looked adorable. Kira mearly turned to stone and fell to one side.

"I am that look, don't best with the best" she smirked and she seemed to be back to normal.

Kira got back up and sat down with one ear down and the other up. That made me so jealous! I wish I could make one ear drop like he could. I could never understand how people did that.

"Geez I'm full you guys can have my fries if you want them"

"I'm good. Still full from lunch," I said.

"I need to buy my self moor fruit when I go home..." Kira said. He had that funny zombie face on.

"Kira you can have the rest of the milkshake, I don't mind,"

He smiled and his eyes glittered. If it was an anime, he'd have little sparkly stars around him. Lexi smiled before lying back down and going to sleep again. I smiled too. This had been a very interesting day.

I watched Nightmare walked over to Lexi's bed, he brushed her bangs out of her face before walking out of the room.

"Bye Nights," I said, "Don't disappear again,"

"Speaking of which where did Kira even find him?" Max asked curiously.

"I found him in the dumpster mobile!" Kira said hyperly. Okay, strawberries made him high.

"Alrighty then..." Max said scratching her head. I giggled. I felt happy again for the first time.

"Should we leave so she can sleep..." Max said.

I nodded in agreement. I had to go home anyway, I needed to charge my anklet, and do study time. I'd probably get in trouble if I stayed any longer.

Alexis: We apologize for lack of characters, but we are down a writer so... we are improvising till further notice I'm sorry

Jenae: Yup. Sooooooooooooooooooo I think we may have everyone back in here by summer, if not sooner! :P

Alexis: till then there will be chapters but will be lacking some characters, but they aren't dead... we'll except if they really are dead.

Mikey: DON'T LISTEN TO THEM! LIIIIIIIEEEESSSS! XD

Lexi: well Nightmare is dead, and so am I so... no lies ha!
