Enjoy! Sorry for the long update! R&R please

Two months at the Academy.

Aside from the criticism I receive in class, life here at the school has settled into a routine. Almost mundane. Freshman like us were bound on campus and could never go beyond a four mile radius, because leaving campus is strictly forbidden for first years.

One might find that after two months of eating dorm food—no matter how delicious it is—one gets tired of it.

So why not sneak off and grab a bite once and a while?

"Ready?" Andrew smirked at our little group of six who had assembled at the stairwell of the furthest building—no cameras here.

"Dude…I think I need to pee," Ethan fidgeted.

"You're chickening out now?" Willow flipped her hair, "Figures, all bark and no bite."

Ethan straightened and stood toe to toe with Willow, "Oh I bite princess."

"Prove it…Dog," Willow retorted without batting an eyelash.

Those two had been butting heads since the first day they met.

"Alright! Fierce!" Jules chimed in, "Let's do this before it gets too late!" The goal was to make it into the next town to grab a bite to eat. It sounded simple. But it required stealing one of the Academy cars. The sleek, sexy, beautiful Audi was definitely not going to offer itself up on a platter.

But it would be all worth it when we ride up in style to a five stair joint.

"Are you going to be able to keep up?" Willow glanced at my arm.

"Just…don't fall behind," I grinned at her. I had finally been getting the hang with writing with my left hand and had gotten skilled during gym. She flashed me a quick smirk and then threw a water bottle at Liam, who caught it without even looking.

"Alright!" Andrew hoisted a bag over his shoulder, "The guard is taking a leak! Let's go!"

Show time.

So in short: nothing went as planned.

The guard wasn't going to take a leak; he just went to grab a coffee pack and hot water. The keys to Audi were actually the keys to the school gardener's car…a jeep. So instead of riding to the next town in style like we had planned, we rode there looking like we were coming from war.

Dirty.

The 'fancy' dinner that had been all planned out had ended up being some fast food. But burgers, fries and milk shakes had never tasted so good. I could only imagine what we must have looked like to the cashier. Six kids all dress in black with mud smeared all over our clothes.

Fancy.

Nevertheless, it was a victory for us. We made it; we stole a car and freaking drove to the civilization.

Anyway, the goal was not to cause trouble. Like I said though: nothing went as planned.

So here we were chilling and eating our delicious cheeseburgers and fries chatting about useless stuff, when a group of six boys in their late teens entered. From the looks of their staggers…they had been having a few drinks.

Jules, oblivious, stood up to refill her drink as one finished ordering from the cashier.

"Jules," I muttered cautiously. She didn't hear me.

I watched as Jules refilled her cup with ice water, but just as she was about to turn around, one of the guys sidled up to her and wrapped his arm around her waist, "Hey baby. Want a taste of my drink?"

"Uhhh. No. Creep. Move along," Jules glared with disgust.

"Come on," he leaned his face against hers, "I was just being friendly. I just want to talk?"

"Please. I need to get back to my friends," she looked over at us anxiously.

"Pleaseee. They can share. In fact," he glanced over at Willow, "A few of them can join too."

Creep.

I nudged Liam and nodded toward the group that was suddenly forming around her. The workers just continued to work behind the counter ignoring the scene.

Unbelievable.

I stood up and strode over to the mass, "Excuse me boys. I think she wants to be left alone."

They stared at me blankly at me before bursting out laughing; an arm grabbed me and pulled me toward them, "She's not going anywhere. But you are welcome to join us sweetheart."

"Back off," I hissed, "Before I do something I regret."

If only both of my arms were working.

"Hey," I heard Andrew behind me, "Do we have a problem here fellas?"

"Yeah. I think these ladies were with us," one of the guys hiccupped.

"I believe," Ethan came up next to Andrew, "They wanted to be left alone."

"Oh yeah?" the other guy tightened his grip on my arm. The others shifted closer to Jules.

"You have five seconds to let go of her arm," Andrew glared deadly.

"Or what pretty boy?" this guy reeked of alcohol, he squinted at Andrew's face "How about…I fuck that face up."

I never saw Andrew hit him—it was much too fast—a blur just flew and the guy crashed into the counter, scattering all the straws. Jules had simultaneously thrown the drink in the closest guy's face. The others pounced toward Andrew who was flanked by Liam and Ethan. In an instant, our fast food joint had become a bar fight.

Ethan grabbed one and threw him against the food counter, he slumped, disoriented. The attendant squealed and ran. Liam, being also a wrestler, pinned the guy, before being yanked backwards by another. Willow managed to knock a few guys out with a napkin holder.

Meanwhile, the same sleaze was still clinging to Jules. I punched him with my good arm and kicked him aside, "PERV!"

She kneed him in the face, "JERK!"

"HEY!" someone threw their arms around me and dragged me outside. I kicked and screamed as I tried to center my weight, my limp arm still against my chest. I saw Andrew try to follow us outside before being tackled by a few guys.

"SON OF A BITCH!"

Whoever he was, he threw me on top of the car hood. Finally, an opening. I twisted and kicked him right across the cheek and before he could recover, right in the family jewels. He dropped. I slammed my heel right on top of this head, he dropped.

The others ran outside leaving a mess of bodies in the restaurant. We heard sirens in the distance.

'Time to go," Andrew said after throwing the last guy over his shoulder and giving the final blow.

As if that wasn't exciting enough the getting back to campus was just was action packed.

"WE KICKED THOSE GUYS' ASSES!" Liam howled in the wind.

"And all for a couple of burgers and milkshakes," Willow said, she acted nonchalant but her cheeks were flushed red from the adrenaline—she was just as excited about this was we were.

"That's what makes it so epic," Jules bounced up and down excitedly, "We should totally do this again!"

"Whoa! Too much M&M's for you," Ethan tethered her to surface, she sighed and happily leaned against his shoulder.

Andrew chuckled as he drove with one arm and extended his other arm so that it was around my shoulders, "Having fun?"

I grinned, "I'm a sucker for breaking the law over a couple of milkshakes. Plus the occasional fast food joint fights make for a perfect outing."

We were dirty and tired, but we had made it.

We ditched the car just outside the grounds, someone would find it later—but as we were about to enter where we had left before a light shined on our faces.

We all stupidly just stared into the light, giving the person a full frontal view of our faces.

Shit.

I bolted in one direction and felt someone following behind me, it sounded like Ethan. The rest must have turned and ran in the other way. The adrenaline kicked in stronger than ever before: we were being chased.

"Can't stick together!" he grunted.

"Give me a boost and keep going!" he charged ahead of me and extended his two hands clasped together. He only paused for a second; I used that opportunity to insert my foot into his hold. He then launched me up over onto the wall.

It took two seconds.

I then let instincts take over.

I sprinted past what looked like the south of campus and charged up the wall of one of the towers. My arm, still limp was the furthest thing from my mind.

Despite myself, I smiled. It was like running a track race again.

I felt alive.

Free.

I managed to make it to my room panting—Jules hadn't returned yet—where someone else was there waiting.

"Hello," she smiled as she stood across from me. I instantly recognized her, May, Jake's girlfriend.

"Hi," I blurted out, "What brings you here?"

For tea and cookies Kiara. Get a freaking clue.

I couldn't read her expression as she said, "Your friends are waiting for you. Come with me please…"

Damn.

Unacceptable.

He used the word seven times. The six of us stood in the dean's office with the members of the student council, Jake and may included, behind us like guard dogs.

Yeah we were in trouble.

It turns out, that despite my arm, I was the one who made it the furthest—to the dorm. The others were picked up somewhere between the gym and the dining hall. Jules couldn't even make it two feet before she swooned at the sight of Tristan, another member of the student council.

"In any case, no matter how innocent the reason was—"

"It was for a burger sir," Andrew said with a serious face, his eyes shining with jest.

"You put the entire school at risk," he continued as if Andrew was invisible, "Not only that, because you engaged in nonsensical rough housing with other students from another school—you were seen. You were recognized and you broke the very contract with which you agreed upon entering this academy: discretion. Under normal circumstances you would all be expelled."

I was already convinced that we would be shipped off to miscellaneous correctional facilities secretly run by the school.

"Roll it."

The screen on the side flickered to life to show Willow kicking some serious ass with Liam. Andrew blew out a long whistle in admiration, "Nice dude." The screen changed again showing Andrew being chased, his speed was…unbelievable. Even his chasers had a hard time keeping up before he was ultimately cornered. Then the screen showed me...after I split off from Ethan. I was scaling a building and jumping a rooftop.

Everyone was silent, except Jules, "Holy sh—"

"So," he said after the clip ended, "It seems that a few of you haven't been completely honest with us." Most eyes were on me.

"My arm is still broken," I said defensively.

"This is some footage," the Dean said, yeah his tone sounded like it was, "That, on top of the cameras from the restaurant showed remarkable talent from each of you. I am quite surprised at how much a few of you have managed to improve with just a few months of training."

He was praising us? That was a first.

"Thank you sir," Willow said seriously. She hadn't said anything since we were caught, only staring straight ahead at the wall.

"So…" Liam asked nervously, "We aren't expelled?"

The Dean stared at him before continuing, "You will be allowed to continue at this school."

There was a breath of relief.

"However…"

Shit.

He continued, "…All of you will be placed on probation and be watched under a member of the council. You are to follow them and help assist them with their duties. All the while, they watch you and your improvements."

"Are you kidding me?" Andrew swore, "A fucking babysitter?"

"I'd also fix that language of yours Mr. Gregory and if I were you, I would make adjustments to your character as well. You are dismissed," he turned on his heel and left.

The rest of us turned and faced the Council, three boys and three girls…that was convenient.

Jake stepped forward, a part of me prayed that I would be with him, but my heart sank when he said, "The pairings will be as follows: Ethan with Tristan. Liam with Sean. Julie with Chanel. Willow with Lilly. Kiara with May. And Andrew...you're with me."

Jules looked really disappointed that we were being paired up girl on girl. Andrew scrunched his face, "Great, stuck with the Ice Prince."

Jake smirked, "And I'm stuck with the Brat."

"Say that again Prince."

"Gladly…Boy."

Whoa, this is was far worse than Ethan and Willow.

"Question?" Ethan raised his hands, "How long are we being babysat for?"

"For as long as the Dean says so," Sean replied.

Great.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to update for so long. But I wanted to crank one out before finals. Look forward to one in a week (Spring Break! WOOHOo!).
