Black-thighed Grosbeak
Pheuticus tibialis
A flash of colour in the undergrowth –
A large, black billed bird stares at you dark eyes,
His yellow colour catches anyone's eye,
Before one can see him longer,
He flutters away with his black wings with white,
His black tail trailing behind him.
One cannot say
"He is beautiful."
