Falling into Everything, Falling into Nothing.
Smeared with the silver of stars
awash with the sparkle of the sunlit sea-
I will wait, have been waiting,
I need this like I need to breathe.
set me on fire
and watch me burn.
for nothing dies
quite like i do.
Like the flame of a candle
I flicker, distorting my picture,
the taste of rain falling like soft sugar-
is only the icing on top of the cake.
flowing nowhere
feeling empty.
for nothing dies
quite like i do.
Wishing with only a faint heart
filtering in and out of existence-
me; alone with paper strewn across the table
and your name written in pen all over my body.
i reach halfway, fall to the floor-
for nothing dies quite like i do.
